As a Product Support Specialist, you will be ensuring superior customer experience by solving the most challenging issues from customer sites globally - during the whole product life cycle in ABB Motion System Drives in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Your responsibilities

  • Take care of the critical customer issues with a collaborative and customer centric mindset
  • Act as the single contact from PE&Q to drive results and to meet customer expectations per schedule
  • Lead technical investigations with teamwork and propose suitable solution packages. Communicate the plan and progress effectively and implement the site solutions timely
  • Proactively and systematically prevent issues based on learnings from the customer sites or data analysis across the whole installed base
  • Analyze monthly warranty reports for System Drives and collaborate with the global team to reduce field failures and increase product availability
  • Communicate Field Service on the product updates in field. Maintain and improve the data quality of the installed base for greater transparency and more meaningful data analytics
  • Advance troubleshooting and decision-making with a data-driven approach
  • Simplify and optimize the processes of how we interact and collaborate internally and externally
Your background

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and 5 years of experience with power electronics equipment required
  • Travel up to 10% required
  • Medium voltage drive or field service experience highly preferred
  • Strong focus on safety practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • Ability to prioritize your tasks correctly and to stay focused with resilience in a dynamic environment and ability to work independently
  • Motivation and passion for the position, a customer-centric and collaborative mindset
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
