About the role

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the CDL-A Driver will be responsible for daily operation of fleet vehicle transporting equipment and cargo to field destinations and back.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A vehicles and comply with DOT and Covanta Standards
• Plan routes, complete inspections of vehicle/cargo.
• Review documents for accuracy.
• Maintain clean and orderly truck and trailer.
• Report any incidents.

This is a salaried position is OTR 21 days and home 7 then repeat DOT allocated hours

Qualifications: (what is required for someone to be successful in the position)

• GED/HS Diploma preferred - Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
• Valid CDL A with 2 years verifiable experience OTR
• Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements with 2 years experience
• Good driving record
• High attention to detail

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
• Able to travel for 3 weeks at a time.
• Able to sit for long periods of time.
