Description

Do you enjoy playing sports or teaching others how to play? Do you have experience working with youth and an interest in developing your skills to lead and engage others? If you are interested in supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, this may be the role for you!

As part of our Sports Program team, you will help youth grow and develop skills by modeling sportsmanship, providing instruction, and celebrating in accomplishments. Day to day, you will engage participants in a variety of seasonal sports, including basketball, t-ball, soccer, flag football , and more! You'll even have the opportunity to lead classes with Preschool Athletics! In the summer, you may support seasonal camps and summer basketball leagues. During basketball season you can help support leagues and clinics by creating a fun safe environment for our participants. In this role, you will strive to improve all member and guest experiences through positive communication, relationship building, and direct service.

To thrive in this position, you must have the ability to teach and instruct young children of all abilities the techniques to develop skills in a variety of sports and games. You must be flexible to adjust to evolving program needs, seasonal sports, and summer camp. You have prior experience providing childcare or instruction to youth in a recreational setting. This is the ideal part time role for those interested in working with youth and inspiring a love for sports.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience working with youth or children preferred
  • Afternoon/Evening and Weekend availability - Tuesday -Saturday Schedule - 25 hours per week
