Job Summary

The Technical Product Engineer provides technical service support, training, and communications to global/regional field service teams and manufacturing for infusion pump technology.
The Technical Product Manager provides serviceability input and service planning for R&D product updates and new product development.
This position is a member of a team dedicated to total instrument serviceability, the Global Technical Management (GTM) team. The focus of this position is on serviceability design planning, creation of service documentation, training, knowledge transfer, and escalation support. It is accomplished through relationships with cross functional teams within R&D, global field service, device manufacturing, customers, and key corporate functions within Fresenius Kabi.

Responsibilities

  • The Technical Product Engineerwill develop and maintain service documentation including service manuals, technical service bulletins, spare parts lists, and service supporting materials.
  • Create and deliver instrument specific technical training.
  • Proctor implementation of regional trainers.
  • Provide direct technical support to regional field service staff via phone and electronic communication (Instant Messenger, email, technical web pages).
  • Represent service input for new product development and product update teams. Service input includes: Serviceability into design, launch planning, service training and documentation.
  • Work directly with R&D (Engineering, Quality, Global Product Management), device manufacturing, forecasting, and global service support teams to provide service input and expertise.
  • Assist with support for servicing, maintaining, and operating medical instruments.
  • Support global field service teams through the development or enhancement of tools, technical literature, parts, and software.
  • Examine field instrument performance and develop programs to positively impact service delivery.
  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.

Requirements

*Bachelor's Degree preferred

*3+ years of previous technical experience

*Strong customer service skills with project management experience

*Medical device experience preferred

*Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

*Strong analytical skills (data analysis)

*Excellent technical, troubleshooting and organizational skills

*Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred

*Ability to exercise independent judgment and draw accurate conclusions based on available information

*Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment

*Up to 20% travel required
